May is Mental Health Awareness Month
National Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to recognize the millions of families affected by mental illness.
Many citizens suffer in silence. However, mental illness affects everyone in one way or another, which highlights the importance of raising awareness in our communities. Together, we can fight the stigma surrounding mental illness, provide support, educate the masses and advocate for proper care and treatment.
This month and year round, we must stay committed to seeking a better understanding of mental illness and supporting those afflicted.
